Invited session: Monitoring of Wind Turbines

Organized by O. BENNOUNA[*] and Z. LEONOWICZ[†]

Call for papers

The penetration of wind power has increased greatly over the last decade in the United States and across the world. America’s wind power industry installed 1,118 MW of new capacity in the first quarter of 2011 alone and entered the second quarter with another 5,600 MW under construction. In Europe, there are over 12,000 wind turbines with a total capacity of 84 GW.

As the number of wind turbines continues to grow, it becomes more and more challenging for engineers to do inspection, monitoring and maintenance for the wind turbines.

The invited session is an opportunity to present contributions in the following topics:

Fault Detection and Isolation (FDI)

Fault Tolerant Control (FTC)

Active supervision

Monitoring…

Presentations must submit an innovative aspect in theoretical researches accompanied with practical consideration. Submissions from students are strongly encouraged. Proceedings will be published in IEEE Xplore and indexed by SCOPUS,  Compendex ,  INSPEC.

All the instructions for paper submission are included at the conference
